George Soros has made it clear that he will do whatever it takes to further his political agenda. The Hungarian billionaire has been dumping money into liberal groups for years. Most notably, he has thrown a ton of money at the Black Lives Matter movement. You know, the whole ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ myth.
For all its talk of being a street uprising, Black Lives Matter is increasingly awash in cash, raking in pledges of more than $100 million from liberal foundations and others eager to contribute to what has become the grant-making cause du jour.
The Ford Foundation and Borealis Philanthropy recently announced the formation of the Black-Led Movement Fund [BLMF], a six-year pooled donor campaign aimed at raising $100 million for the Movement for Black Lives coalition.
That funding comes in addition to more than $33 million in grants to the Black Lives Matter movement from top Democratic Party donor George Soros through his Open Society Foundations, as well as grant-making from the Center for American Progress.
Well, George Soros is apparently pretty upset about the 2016 election because he doubled down in a big way.
Check out how much money is moving around now.
Left-wing financier George Soros has transferred $18 billion to the Open Society Foundations, the network of non-profits Soros uses to advance his left-wing ideology both in the United States and around the world.
The massive transfer, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, is roughly equivalent to the gross domestic product (GDP) of Afghanistan, according to World Bank data. Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, suggested that the transfer is a way for the 87-year-old Soros to avoid the estate tax — also known as the death tax — which penalizes large inheritances.
Anyone else think Soros would make a great Batman villain?
The guy just looks like he belongs in a comic book.
That’s an insane amount of money to be throwing around and you know it’s not going to go to anything good for the country.
Here’s what else Soros has been up to lately.
While America’s political kingmakers inject their millions into high-profile presidential and congressional contests, Democratic mega-donor George Soros has directed his wealth into an under-the-radar 2016 campaign to advance one of the progressive movement’s core goals — reshaping the American justice system.
The billionaire financier has channeled more than $3 million into seven local district-attorney campaigns in six states over the past year — a sum that exceeds the total spent on the 2016 presidential campaign by all but a handful of rival super-donors.
His money has supported African-American and Hispanic candidates for these powerful local roles, all of whom ran on platforms sharing major goals of Soros’, like reducing racial disparities in sentencing and directing some drug offenders to diversion programs instead of to trial. It is by far the most tangible action in a progressive push to find, prepare and finance criminal justice reform-oriented candidates for jobs that have been held by longtime incumbents and serve as pipelines to the federal courts — and it has inspired fury among opponents angry about the outside influence in local elections.
Well, that’s reassuring.
Not only is this guy messing with our political system but he’s messing with the American justice system.
Keep an eye on this guy.
If you see his name attached to an organization, stay away.
He’s nothing but bad news.
