In a new interview with Vulture, music legend Quincy Jones says he once dated Ivanka Trump.
“I used to date Ivanka, you know,” the 84-year-old says. “Twelve years ago, , who was working with my daughter Kidada, said, ‘Ivanka wants to have dinner with you.’ I said, ‘No problem. She’s a fine motherf-ker.’ She had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life. Wrong father, though.”
But a source close to 36-year-old Trump says Jones is mistaken: “This story is not true,” the source said.
As Twitter users have pointed out, Trump and Jones may have different ideas of what constitutes a date:
Quincy Jones says he “dated” Ivanka Trump when he was in his mid-70’s and she was in her mid-twenties. But as a lady who has had invitations to dinner misread: just because he thought it was a date doesn’t mean she did

In Jones’s mind, perhaps a simple invitation to dinner from a women means a “date.”
The 27-time Grammy winner also said he used to be friendly with Ivanka’s father: “I used to hang out with him. He’s a crazy motherf-ker.”
Their relationship seems to have soured, though, because Jones now calls him, “Limited mentally—a megalomaniac, narcissistic.”
“I can’t stand him,” he said of the president.
